Biography
Dr. Miller is the Co-director for the Office for the Study of Aging in the Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina where she manages the South Carolina Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) Registry. She also serves as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of South Carolina. Her research interests include Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias epidemiology, and the investigation of risk factors related to the development and progression of the disease, as well as the impact of caregiving on those that provide care for individuals with dementia. Dr. Miller is a member of the outreach, recruitment, and engagement (ORE) core of the South Carolina Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and she partners with other cores on ADRD registry related projects and publications. Dr. Miller has served on the analysis core and as a scientist mentor for the Carolina Center for Alzheimer’s Disease Minority Research, and she currently serves as the conference organizer and scientist mentor for the NIA-funded, annual conference series entitled, “Promoting High-Impact Alzheimer’s Disease Research through the Use of Statewide Registries”.
