Biography
Dr. Lorie Donelle is the Emily Myrtle Smith Endowed Professor of Nursing within the College of Nursing at the University of South Carolina (USC) and the co-Director of the ACORN Research Centre at USC. She is also adjunct faculty and Professor Emerita at Western University in the in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Donelle is an inaugural member of Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Nursing (FCAN). Her research addresses health promotion specific to issues of digital health, health literacy and digital health literacy within a social justice lens. Specifically, she investigates models of digital health, the use digitally generated data to promote health, and the relationships between health information technologies and patient - family - clinician health practices. Dr. Donelle contributes to International and national advisory committees for health literacy and digital health.
