Feng Ding, PhD
Core Director, Cellular and Molecular Biomarker Core
Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy
Clemson University
Biography
Dr. Feng Ding is a Profess of Biophysics in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Clemson University. He got his PhD in Physics from Boston University and did his postdoctoral training in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is now leading a computational biophysics lab at Clemson University. Dr. Ding's lab focuses on uncovering the molecular mechanisms of amyloid aggregation and the aggregation-mediated cytotoxicity; elucidating the cross-interaction/co-aggregation between different amyloidogenic proteins underpinning the cross-talk between different amyloid diseases; and exploring anti-amyloid strategies via small molecules, peptides, and peptide-mimetics. Dr. Ding’s lab has been continuously supported by federal funding over the years.
