Biography
Dr. Kaileigh Byrne is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at Clemson University. Her research broadly investigates how goal-directed and habit-based decision-making changes across the lifespan from cognitive and neural perspectives. A second line of research examines the relationship between social connectedness and cognitive functioning across the lifespan among individuals from minority backgrounds. This line of work includes exploring ways to promote social engagement through technology to maintain healthy aging. Her work examines both healthy older adults and those with mild cognitive impairment.
